Welcome to the website of the study tour 2010 for master students of chemistry and molecular life sciences at the Radboud University Nijmegen.

In 2010, the destination has been Boston, Ithaca and New York. First we have visited Boston and after a week we have travelled to Ithaca for a 3 day visit after which we continued the studytour in New York City. The journey took place in April/May 2010. During this tour several universities (MIT, Harvard University, Cornell University, Columbia University and Weill-Cornell Medical College), chemical companies (Bruker and Akzo Nobel), research institutes (Merck Research Laboratories Boston and Memorial Sloane-Kettering Cancer Center) as well as cultural and historical sites  (Boston Freedom Trail, USS Constitution, Robert H. Treman State Park, Liberty Island, Ground Zero, Guggenheim Museum, Dutch Queensday Embassy Reception and more) have been visited. A full-professor and a member of the scientific staff from the science faculty have accompanied the study tour.

Participating students had to do a pre-study of the country or a chemical case study in preparation. A symposium has been organized to present the results of the pre-studies. Soon the report of the studytour will be ready and a downloadable pdf will be placed on the site.
