Addictions and Needs of the 21st Century

How new developments and technologies in natural sciences will aid in solving the obstacles of this generation and the ones to come.


The goals of the study trip 2010 are to:

  1. study the differences between institutions and industries in the Netherlands (and Europe) and in the United States of America.
  2. acquire knowledge about recent developments (innovations, efficiency, durability) in disease research (e.g. cures, early detection, disease pathways), energy, functional everyday chemistry and material science (e.g. nanotechnology, polymer science, crystallography).
  3. explore career opportunities abroad.
  4. learn about the culture and history of the United States of America and specifically the cities Boston, Ithaca and New York.
